The YMCA of Dane County is building a new, state-of-the-art facility in Fitchburg! Over the past two years, the Y’s “Community Building Community” Campaign raised more than $31 million toward this $55 million project that will expand access to child care, health care, youth programming, healthy living opportunities and senior and community connectedness.
The New West YMCA will Include:
- A child care facility with capacity for up to 100 children including infants.
- An Access Community Health Centers primary care clinic.
- A modern aquatic center with a cool-water lap pool and a warm-water pool for aquatic fitness, therapy and swim lessons.
- A state-of-the-art commercial kitchen to support cooking classes and health and nutrition programming.
- Fitness center with expanded studios for group classes, a walking track, expanded EGYM and a full fitness floor.
- Two gyms for basketball, volleyball, pickleball and other sports.
- Dedicated youth development, social engagement and wellness spaces.
