Prepare for the season! Designed for players in grades 4–8, this six-week program focuses on skill development, game fundamentals and building confidence on the court. Participants will work on passing, serving, setting, movement and overall volleyball knowledge through structured instruction, drills and game-based activities.

Whether you’re new to volleyball or looking to sharpen your skills and gain experience, this program provides a fun and supportive environment to learn and grow. Volunteers are needed to create the best-possible experience for every child!

Looking for a fun way to keep playing volleyball without the pressure of league competition? Skill, Drills, & 3v3 Volleyball gives players the chance to come together, play, laugh, and enjoy the game in a relaxed environment. This program is great for keeping athletes active during the volleyball off-season.

Each session combines fun volleyball skill-building activities, creative games, challenges, and small-sided 3v3 gameplay. Players will spend approximately 45–60 minutes participating in fun drills and volleyball challenges, followed by 15–30 minutes of 3v3 gameplay.

Unlike our Volleyball Preseason Academy, which focuses on skill development and preparing players for more serious gameplay, Skill, Drills, & 3v3 is designed to be low-pressure and fun. There are no standings, teams, or competitive expectations—just an opportunity for volleyball players to get together, stay active, and enjoy playing the sport they love.

Whether your player is looking for extra volleyball time, wants to play with friends, or simply wants a fun way to stay involved in the sport, this program is a great fit.

Our leagues for boys and girls in grades 4-8 are not only a great starting points for beginners, they’re also built to accommodate players with some volleyball experience looking to further develop their fundamentals and love of the game. We’ll focus on learning the basics in a comfortable, low-stress environment; it’s a great way to play with your friends (and make new ones)! Coed teams will be created from a combination of geography (school attendance areas), parent/player requests and free agents.

Our program consists of one practice per week, days decided on by the volunteer coaches. Games will be played on Sundays (first two weeks will be practice-only). Rosters one week prior to the start of the season. Schedules will be sent  out the week of the first practice.

League games will be played against East and West YMCA teams. Game sites:

Sun Prairie: Sun Prairie YMCA
East: East YMCA
West: West YMCA

Volunteer coaches are needed to make the program successful!

***Coaches are volunteers that must register for a Criminal Background Check with Athlete Protection training. If you are interested in coaching please indicate so with the registration.
