American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Blended Learning includes: CPR/AED/First Aid/Lifeguarding

The Lifeguarding course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.

This course follows a blended learning model, which combines online coursework with in-person sessions.

There is 7 hours of Online learning that must be completed ahead of the in-person portion of the class. The link will be sent to your email ahead of the coursework with instructions on how to complete. 

Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 15 by the last day of the class. Photo ID required for proof of age.

Able to swim 150 yards continuously, immediately tread water without hands for two minutes, then swim another 50 yds. MUST be able to show breath control with face IN the water and continuous movement in the water. No stopping or taking breaks.

Timed event: Participants must retrieve a 10-lb object and, after surfacing, return to the starting point while holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping their face at or near the surface. Swimming underwater is not permitted.

Please enter a specific email address for the participant. If your email is the same as your child’s, there will be potential issues getting into the program and getting certificates.

Participants must attend all in-person sessions listed below; no make up classes are offered.

All Classes will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday at the following times:

Friday from 5-9pm

Saturday from 7am-4:30pm

Sunday from 7am-3pm
