Youth Performance Training

Whether you’re interested in performance training outside of your sport or sports, or you just want to build a healthier, stronger body, the YMCA has you covered! The Y has a variety of strength and conditioning programs designed specifically for youth and teen athletes. Whatever your motivation, our options will help kids and teens build a fit foundation or take it to the next level, all while doing it the right way.
Girls Strength & Conditioning
This fun and supportive program helps girls aged 10-14 of all ability levels build confidence, strength and coordination. Each session in this eight-week program focuses on developing fundamental movement skills like balance, agility and body awareness using age-appropriate drills, games and teamwork. Whether new to sports or looking to take performance to the next level, participants will grow stronger, move better and gain the tools to stay active and confident for life.
Sessions held Tuesday OR Thursday, but feel free to register for both.

Level 1 Strength & Conditioning
Boys and girls in grades 4-8 can learn proper lifting techniques and how to properly train the body over time in this 14-week program that meets twice weekly. Participants will build strength, conditioning, agility and performance abilities by working on speed, footwork, plyometric/bodyweight training, proper mechanics and warm-ups/cool-downs while striving to reach a common goal!

Swimmers' Dryland Strength & Conditioning
Designed to help boys and girls aged 10-18 advance their athletic skills and learn how to properly train their bodies over time while building a positive relationship with the work. We will aim to increase strength, conditioning, flexibility and performance using speed, plyometric and bodyweight training. We’ll teach proper mechanics, warm-ups and cool-downs while focusing on sport-specific instruction to better perform in the pool! Our seven-week training program meets twice weekly.
