Our instructional program leverages a fun approach to teaching basic fundamentals and skills using structured drills and game play. Our goal is to establish a foundation for success for all participants regardless of skill level or future aspirations in the sport. Ages 5-6 play on 8-foot hoops; 7-9 year-olds use 9-foot hoops; and ages 10-12 play on 10-foot hoops.

Evaluation Information:

In partnership with the Sun Prairie Youth Basketball Association (YBA), the Fastbreak program operates in two stages (Fall and Winter), focuses on continued skill development and begins to incorporate basic offensive and defensive concepts.

Stage 2 – Winter Fastbreak

When the Fall League ends, players are placed on a tournament team or have the option to continue in the in-house winter league (separate registration required). Reversible team jerseys are included. Practice starts the week of Jan 2, and league games run Jan 14-Feb 18. Tournaments run through early March. Tournaments are scheduled by volunteer coaches, and teams practice twice a week (must be a Sun Prairie resident to participate).
