Swim Lessons: Ages 3-5 years
Learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency.
This is done by learning two benchmark skills:
• Swim, float, swim—sequencing front glide, roll, back float, roll, front glide, and exit
• Jump, push, turn, grab
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 1
To register for this level your child should be comfortable being in the water without a parent/guardian. This is a beginner level.
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 2
To register for this level your child should be comfortable putting their face in the water and blowing bubbles. Float on their front and back with assistance. Paddle with a float belt unassisted.
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 3
To register for this level your child should be comfortable going under water, floating on their front and back without a floatation device or assistance from the instructor. They should be able to paddle on their front and back unassisted for a short distance.
PRESCHOOL LEVEL 4
To register for this level your child should be comfortable floating on their front with their face in the water and on their back without a floatation device or assistance from the instructor. Swimmer should be able to paddle on their front with their face in the water and on their back to the flags WITHOUT a floatation device.
