School's Out
What, no school today?
Kids love a day off from school but those days pose challenges for families who have other responsibilities. Our School’s Out program allows parents and caregivers to maintain previous commitments, like work or school, when school is scheduled to be out for the day while knowing their children will be in a safe and exciting environment. Children have opportunities to engage in enrichment activities including; arts & crafts, creative dramatics, literacy, math & science projects, being active, and playing games.
Children need to bring: a sack lunch, active footwear, clothing for both indoor and outdoor activities, and lots of energy. We provide the rest, including healthy morning and afternoon snacks.

East Madison
Schools out will be run out of Elvehjem Elementary School, unless specified otherwise.
We are there from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM. All families will need to provide a lunch.
Site Phone:(608)228-1322. This phone is only available on days we are running the program.
Please enter Elvehjem through the main doors. You will need to call the program and one of the staff will let you in. If at the Y please use the main entrance.

Sun Prairie YMCA

We are there from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM. All families will need to provide a lunch.

West YMCA
Our School’s Out programs run out of the West Y branch and are offered on days where either the Verona or Madison school district do not have school in session on a normal work day.
We run from 7:30am until 5:30pm. We will provide a morning and afternoon snack but families are required to provide their own lunch.
Our site phone is 608-225-8732, this phone is only in use on days that schools out programming is running. If you cannot reach someone on this phone you can call the main phone at 608-276-6606.
When you arrive come through the main entrance and the front desk staff will direct you where to go.
